Morton's Steakhouse Prestigious New Tenant At 1001 McKinney

USAA Real Estate Company announced recently that Chicago-based Morton's The Steakhouse will be added to the tenant roster at 1001 McKinney in downtown Houston. This will be the second Houston location for the prominent restaurant chain, which will occupy 8,000 square feet of street-level space.

The 22-story, 377,605 square-foot, Class A office building was purchased in 2001 by 1001 McKinney Venture LP, a partnership comprised of affiliates of USAA Real Estate Company, Canadian-based SITQ and Houston-based Levcor, Inc. An historic landmark, the building underwent extensive renovations in 2002 and was selected both local, regional and international recipient of the prestigious "The Office Building of the Year (TOBY) Award" for excellence in office building management from the Building Owners & Managers Association (BOMA) in 2005. USAA Real Estate Company provides professional on-site management services at 1001 McKinney, and leasing services are provided by Transwestern Commercial Services. Other building tenants include law offices of Franklin, Cardwell & Jones, McGlinchey Stafford, and Royston, Razon, Vickery & Williams.

The new Morton's will feature a restaurant, private dining boardrooms and Bar 12-21. Morton's is scheduled to open for business by the end of the year.
