Partnership Completes Sale of Sweetheart Cup Facility

Commerce Center I, LLC, which is owned and managed by an affiliate of USAA Real Estate Company, recently completed the sale of the Sweetheart Cup Distribution Facility in the Village of University Park, Ill., The build-to-suit building was purchased by University Cup, LLC. The sales price was not disclosed.
Fulcrum Asset Advisors, LLC acted as the advisor for the Purchaser. The Chicago-based Cushman & Wakefield team of Mike Fonda, Brendan Kelly and Hugh Williams represented Commerce Center I, LLC with Jack Fraker and Randy Baird out of Dallas.
The building is located at 701 Central Avenue in the new 250-acre Commerce Center at University Park. This total turnkey build-to-suit by USAA Real Estate Company consists of approximately 907,920 sq. feet of distribution space and is situated on 55 acres. Sweetheart Cup, the world's largest manufacturers of single-use disposable products for the food and beverage service industry, has utilized this state-of-the-art facility to expand distribution operations and to accommodate current and anticipated growth.
